Updates as in software patching? I wouldn't try to do that. Just make sure Intel's database says the CPU is 64-bit and you are set to root-canal the reinstall.

Nope, the circuits inside work differently. Only converter dealt with siphoning power.

No it is Dell OEM, another Dell could take it, I say could but not able to this case, you say it is stored within its EFI firmware chip and belonged to this machine.
