Upgrade 32 bit os to 64 bit?

I have a 2 GB ddr3 Ram in my system and its Speed: 1,067 MHz I want to increase it to 6 GB so can I pair it with a 4 GB ram my system details are:

i want to upgrade to a 64 bit system right now its 32 bit so please suggest what updates should i require?

  • Updates as in software patching? I wouldn't try to do that. Just make sure Intel's database says the CPU is 64-bit and you are set to root-canal the reinstall.

  • First off make sure that the new ram is EXACTLY the same as the old name (I.e. brand/model etc). Then plug the new RAM into 2 ram slots of the same colour on your motherboard

    Next you need to reinstall windows with the 64 bit version and you are good to go.

  • Your cpu has to be 64-bit.
