how do I glue rubber decals to car ?

I bought some new decals for my car.

I am now considering gluing them on….

I have some standard auto glue for Decals… but those Decals are usually plastic, or perhaps metal.

But these decals are made from Metal with a rubber backing…..

I know that glue for plastic, rarely works well with rubber.

So what is the correct kind of glue to use, to glue these rubber decals to my car paint. (without damaging the car or the decals)

That will be strong attachment.

thanks

Update:

whats the difference between trim glue and decal glue ? it sounds like the same thing to me.

Is double sided tape going to stand up to weather? hot sun, rain, power washing ?

thanks for suggestions

  • you can use trim glue just make sure you use wax remover on the surface your gluing it on

  • Car Decal Adhesive

  • Well we obviously don't know what you have on hand so I can't recommend a specific thing that you already have. Just go to a store like Home Depot or Ace hardware and ask for the best glue remover that is save for car paint. There are many products that will do this and the best way to find one is to go to the store and ask.

  • Well, they make this double adhesive tape. That usually works better than glue.
