Overdrive problem - 1995 Chrysler Concorde?
This car is a 1995 Chrysler Concorde and it as an overdrive problem. Whenever I drive 55 to 70 mph, the RPM would go above 3, which is not normal. Now, my question is, Is this problem coming from the transmission or sensor?
Comments
most times there is a switch or button some ware on the shift lever, that will engage or disengage the over drive option.
they get hit a lot by mistake.
With the V6 these transmissions usually last 60,000 to 80,000 miles maximum. They all have inherient flaws and cost $2.000 to $3.500 to replace. You can bet that each and every one of them will break. Kind of like your payment for not buying the Ford Ex-plod-er where you have to buy a new engine, transmission, and most other parts for a second time by 60,000.
If this is an electrical problem your best bet would be to take your car to a good mechanic.Since you have checked the fuses, then this needs a professional diagnosis.
more than likley the transmission, get it serviced & have them check out the overdrive band.
