Do quarter grades affect your GPA?
There are four grading quarters in a year, and they are used to calculate your final grade, correct? Let's say I get three A's and one B in a class, and still end up with an A as a final grade. Does that one B affect my GPA or is it the final grade that only matters? Because I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and was wondering if I got one B as a quarter grade if it would lower my GPA? Thanks.

Yes, quarter classes effect your GPA. It would lower your GPA, I'm sorry to say.
Yes, they will take semester averages so that second semester might average out to a B. I use to think that final year grade was a thing. It isn't.
