do you think Emo music is promoting teenage suicide?
especially when the music are so much more popular to the pre-teen to teenagers these days.. from 13 to 18 and they have not matured to understanding the meaning of life and their brain is not quite fully developed, and some common sense just isn't present in all their decisons.
If they are listened by mostly 20s then it'd be a different story,

Nah. I think Elmo music is promoting suicide.
Well, I think music in general can be therapeutic.
Today's music DOES NOT promote suicide MORE than the 90's grunge music(thin kCobain suicide era) that was popular when I was a teen. Look at PINK FLOYD...their music would be much more likely to make someone kill thereselves.
i believe that alot of teenagers are mimicing that mind set, so how does a parent know when to do something about an "emo"tional problem when all the kids out there are acting emo. i see all these teens walking around kicking invisible cans and heads hung low; is it the fad or is it real!
yes we are very influential and music is and can be one of the only things that make sense in our lives and is also a constant.
but just as we can be easily persuade by our peers the same can happen with music
if emo music promotes suicide, then songs about money should create millionaries
I think the opposite, it gives them the knowledge someone else has the same feelings.
