Algebra Math problem! HELP!?

A bridge can support a maximum weight of 6500 lb. A delivery truck carrying metal beams for construction has a weight of 3600 lb when it is carrying nothing but its driver. Determine the maximum number of beams that can be carried on the truck for a single trip across the bridge given that each beam weighs 230 lb.

Comments

  • Could only carry 12 beams with him.. 6500-3600=2900 .. 2900÷230 is approximately 12
