Scrapbooking-no pictures...?
Hi, i adore scrapbooking and i would now like to scrapbook my illness. I will have get-well cards that people sent me and i am writing "my story" but i cant find the hospital bands and i think i chucked them out *sigh* i had kept them for years ans now i think i cheucked them out a couple of weeks ago, I have no pictures of me whilst i was in hospital but i just REALLY want to scrapbook it.
I was thinking;
Stick an unused (of course) bandaid on to signify all my blood tests
List all the medicines i have been on
Get a pic off the net of a bandaged teddybear
write about chrons

Scrapbooking is about preserving your memories, not just your photos.
If you really want photos - use some of you from before and after your illness. Add in a photo of the hospital, and see if you can print out a picture of what their rooms are like from their website.
Decide who your scrapbook is for. Is it to share your story with your friends and family or is it for yourself? Having an idea as to who you are scrapping for will help you to decide what information to include.
Some people use paper dolls instead of (or in addition to) pictures. Do you mean Crohn's?
I like the bandaid and teddy bear ideas. Can you get a photo of the hospital? or a hospital bed?
You don't need pictures to to scrapbook. Sure, it makes it simplier, but scrapbooking isn't about the pictures, it's about the creativity and imagination put into it. I think your ideas are better than any picture, and they can tell a lot more.
