which party , now controls congress, in 2012?
i've read that the congress today has been wastefull. i cannot get a definitive straight answer from yahoo toolbar. i need to know so that, come election time, i will vote for whichever party's seats are not now in control.

Democrats control the Senate. Republicans control the House of Representatives. You need a better game plan than that.

You see, from a Republican standpoint, as the Democrats (barely) control the Senate, they control Congress and block Republican bills.
From a Democratic standpoint, as the Republicans control the House of Representatives, they control Congress and block Democratic bills and Obama's in particular.
The second is technically the truest. The Republicans in the House are so eager to block Obama's every endorsement that they have actually blocked some of their own bills just because Obama said he agreed. Now you see why Congress is so uneffective.
The most obvious solution to this constant problem in American politics would be to go unicameral, like Norway. But that means changing the Oh So Holy Constitution.
The Repugnants control the House, but the Democrats the Senate. If you like Obama & want him to get things thru that will help you, vote Democrat in both houses
