What is a Primary Care Paramedic Level 1?

Hi there, i am a student, hoping to qualify into the Canadian Military, as a Medical Technican, For Spring Recruit 2011. i love combat and helping people, i want to use this as a stepping stool to become a child care specialist,

Now, i know that soon after completing my medical technician course in the military, i will be able to attain the position of a Primary Care Paramedic Level 1, what is the difference, in my understanding there is 3 levels, and what is the salary?, and will i be able to attain this position after comming from the military. I want to do this as a part time, as i continue university.

Currently, i am 19 years old, and still trying to get my credits at adult school, because truthfully, i messed up as a teen, and now am trying very hard to get my credits, i am working on achieving a 12U bio, and a 11U chem..

Thank you, i know this question is long and i apologize for that, thank you for being paitent with me.

  • Paramedic positions in Canada vary by the province that you are in. However, there are three main types of paramedic positions that you can have in Canada: a primary care paramedic, an advanced care paramedic and a critical care paramedic. To become a paramedic in Canada, you will need to get the appropriate training and education, complete the required certification courses and find an ambulance company or medical institution to work for.
