You should tell them why you want a Boston.
Let them know the positive things about you - about your fenced yard, and your past dog ownership experiences. If you plan on showing the puppy, let them know that. If you are looking for a pet quality Boston, then mention that.
Offer to give them references - the phone number of your vet (they will call to make sure you keep your current pets up to date on vaccinations, etc), and also offer personal references if they want them.
Good breeders are selective on who puppies go to, and they usually will have homes all lined up for their next litter before they ever breed the female. They maintain a waiting list of serious people, and will keep them informed of their breeding plans.
Give them a short paragraph about yourself and your lifestyle, this way they can get a feel about where one of their puppies may be going to. Tell them about the hours you work also.
Then you can give answers to the following questions (I was asked these when I got one of my dogs).
1. Have you ever owned a Boston Terrier? If so, please tell us a little about your Terrier and your experience with your dog.
2. Do you currently own a Boston Terrier or other dog. If so how many?
3. What type of Boston Terrier are you looking for? A pet and companion, a breeding quality dog, a show puppy?
4. Where will your Boston Terrier live? In the house, outside, or a combination of the two? Do you have a fenced yard?
5. Do you prefer a male or a female? Do you have a color preference?
6. Do you currently have a Vet who would be able to verify the care of your current pets? If so please include the name, address and phone number so that I might arrange a call to verify.
7. Are considering breeding your Boston Terrier? Please note the majority of our Boston Terrier are sold on limited registration which means they are not be used for breeding.
** I took out the dog I wanted and put BT in for you.
Give a short introduction. Tell them why you are interested in their dogs. How you found them and briefly give some of your experience with dogs and Bostons specifically. Make sure that you give your contact info in the email.
Let them know you like their dogs, and are interested in a pet. Specify male/female, color and what the price is - what does it include. Ask what genetic testing the dogs have, what clearances, and why you are choosing a Boston.
Let them know a little of your pet-owning background and ask to be put on their waiting list for a puppy.
I Would like a puppy.
I'm interested in one of your dogs. idk lol
