  • Of course, there are distinct cultures of punjab, baloch, sindhi, pathan, mirpuri/kashmiri, gujrati etc and it happens to coincide most if not all of north indian culture (punjab, delhi/chandigarh, kashmir, luknow, hyderabad, gujrat, rajasthan).

However, the whole of indian culture cannot be said to be the exact bollywood content. Specially the souh indian/andamans/sinhalese/srilankan and northeast/indo-tibetan regions that are not given much attention to. In britain the majority of 'indian' restaurents are managed by bangladeshis and pakistanis.

  • Naturally pakistan has a culture. While it is heavily influenced by Indian culture, it is still slightly different. For example, Sufism has made huge contributions to Pakistan in terms of music - ghazals, qawwalis, etc. etc. Even today, a few Pakistani singers enjoy success in Bollywood (Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami).

True, Pakistanis have today become ashamed of their connections and roots to India - which is rather sad, considering they were one and the same nation since 1948. A major reason for this is Islam, which came from Saudi Arabia. pakistan DOES have a culture though, and just because it retains similarities to indian culture doesn't mean you should be ashamed to embrace it.

  • Pakistan has not just one but many distinct and unique transitional cultures between India and the middle-east

Just to name a few of the more prominent there's the Bruhuis, the Baluch, the Saraik, the Kalash, the Hazaras and the Chitralis as just a few examples of distinct cultures in Pakistan, which in many cases are thousands of years old.

Unfortunately there is currently some movement originating from the Wahabis and other fundamentalist groups (such as in the above answer) aimed at destroying Pakistani cultures and values and replacing them with Saudi inspired Islamic fundamentalism.

  • interesting question and the answer for which delivers a plethora of perspectives. besides the indisputable fact that my uncomplicated answer may be that besides the indisputable fact that Pakistanis and Indians percentage a lot in uncomplicated (which includes similar languages, style of weddings etc,), we've a lot that makes us distinct. in case you study the historic previous of the region that's now Pakistan, it has always been an area of crosscroads. besides Indian impression there has been distinctive Persian impression on the country, heavily pondered contained in the nationwide language Urdu. besides the actual undeniable actuality that inspite of the consistent barage of media comments on the opposite, Pakistan isn't a non secular state. it really is a u . s . the position faith performs a needed function besides the indisputable fact that that's foundations are in direction of those of its founder Jinnah who believed in an earthly device of authorities plus non secular tolerance. What i'm attempting to say is that the country is a few distance from a muslim version of india (which has its own tremendous muslim inhabitants) Its extra like a go-roads of Indian custom assembly Persian and in direction of the north, useful Asian cultures. really, I have heard that before the British got here and banned the language, Persian replaced into extra significantly understood then Urdu contained in the region that's now Pakistan as a language of the courts. Many Pakistanis might want to boot of direction Indian, yet also Arabic, Persian and Turkic ancestory. Following independence, Pakistan has gradually stepped ahead its own distinct custom distinct from its neighbours. For me besides the indisputable fact that, what makes Pakistan particular is that very blending of distinct cultures which includes Indian, Persian and English.

  • Don't forget Pakistan was once part of India before 1947. You want culture? Search up your family history.

  • Every country has a culture, you just have to read the history books and you'll see it's culture through time. Even America has a culture despite being the melting pot. Meaning we have ethnics from every culture yet we still have our own defined culture

  • um

Pakistan used to be part of India, before they got split up (British did it,..), thats why most of your things are similar to Indians

-.- why won't the Pakistanis accept the truth, they were part of India, like come on India isn't a bad country! is it?

and saying that Islam is from Saudi is kinda funny, there was no Saudi Arabia during the Prophet's time, and Islam is not for Arabs only, its for mankind

  • Culture is one thing that damages Islam and is only a distraction that's draws attention away and forces people to make choices or compromise.

@ Jaweria Pakistan didn't exist until 1948 , it was part of India and before the British made it part of the British Empire it was a various regions always at war with each other with many outside influences because it was on the Silk Road ,being the trade route between China and Europe.

  • "our main religion islam comes from sudi arabia" most stupidest comment ever

    Islam is not for Arabs.

Islam is for all of mankind.

Ugh, stop making stupid comments. Anyways, India and Pakistan are basically (or were) one so just mix up, I mean why do you not like multi-culturilism?!!!

Anyways, it doesn't matter in the end coz believe it or not Pakistanis do have a culture...ginkcuf staog (read backwards)

  • Indians adopted the Pakistani culture, it's not Pakis who adopted it.

You said that the clothes Pakis wear come from India. LOLZ Do you even know what Indians used to wear, they used to wear these long shirts brooming the floor and these baggy like PJ's. You should seriously look up Indian peoples clothing's.

About the muzic, Pakis have better and more talented singers than Indians. You living in Uk probably know a lot of Paki singers. Take a look at Imran Khan, Mustafa Zahid, Abrar Ul-Haq, Rahat Fatah Ali Khan, and so many more I can't list on top of my head.

Pakistan does have its own unique culture :)

    Hope that helped :)
