Funny fancy dress ideas (Horse + Rider)?

There is a competition next week for the funniest or it could be the "coolest" fancy dress costume for the Horse and rider, i'm not so creative or imaginative so my ideas are quite bland but i know you people must have some hilarious and very creative ideas to give me! The catch is you cannot spend no more than £40, thats for everything, the Horse and rider. As with money, anything can be funny or be some kind of awesome costume.

Also a few Christmas ideas could be cool :)

    For a fancy dress idea you could be the red queen (looking completely insane) and her royal mount. For christmas your horse could be a reindeer and you could be santa...or you could be a smart alec and have your horse as santa and you as the reindeer! Or your horse could be a present, and you could be a christmas tree...not sure how exactly that would work...but...yeah.... Happy holidays!

    How about a Rocking horse. Hang CD all over your horse and pit Punk coloures in his mane and tail. You can be dressed up as a punk rocker. If your horse is really good attach some large headfones to the headpace of his bridle so they sit just behind his ears. Or I have also been a 'SeaHorse' Dressed as a sailor and my horse had blue plastic bags cut like waves all round his body. I won with both of those ! Have fun =)

    For topical ideas try popular films such as Harry Potter. Could you be a wizard or witch riding a unicorn. Re watch Narnia - The Lion the Witch & The Wardrobe. Lots of creatures in there. Both films in local libraries & enjoyable as well as being a source of inspiration.Have fun at the show.

    Well my horse is part Clydie, so I've done a native American Indian before.

    Costume was me bareback with handprints in clay on him (clay found in paddock lol). I wore brown clothes with old beads and feathers etc. I may have done the Indian call as well. I'm Australian, but it was lots of fun.

    Other costumes my friends have had: Gypsy, racehorse and jockey, hawaiian themed etc.
