Does Proactive Face Cream Actually Clear Your Face?

Does it work?

  • It's a hit and miss with everyone. For some people it works, for some it doesn't. If you want to try it, I would get the free trail and see how it goes.

I wouldn't get disappointed and discouraged if it doesn't work. For some people, face cleaners don't work. It can be a gene issue or if you shave, it can come from there. Or you aren't drinking enough water. There are a lot of reasons why people break out. You just need to find out why yours does.

  • Hello there! I do freelance hair and makeup for some pretty known people and have been asked about dr. Rodan and fields frequently so I did my research! If you use it for awhile it will eventually start working but once you stop your skin will be worse then before. The ingredients used push all the dirt and oil into your pores to we're you think your skin is clearing up but isn't. But once you stop using it it all starts pushing its way out. Salicylic acid most people think is good for clearing skin (it's used in proactive toner and many other brand toners) but it dries it out and causes it to become dry and flaky and make it red!! Stay away from proactiv and all Rodan and fields products!!

  • I know for me anyway,it was the worst facial product(s) I've ever used.I used in for a couple days according to the instructions,& it dried my skin out terribly,& I tried switching to just once a day for another couple days,& over the course of maybe less than a week,my face just kept getting drier & drier until it peeled & was flaky,& was so dry it actually looked like I had lines on my face-even my friends noticed & asked what was wrong. So when I stopped using it,it wasn't even a matter of just putting another moisturizer on my face;it had dried it out so horribly that no matter how much & what I put on it,it still had that tight, uncomfortable feeling, but severely.I was actually at one point putting pure Vaseline on my face because it was so uncomfortable I didn't even care if it clogged my pores,I just wanted that dry feeling to go away.It probably took my skin a good week before it started feeling & looking back to normal. And the problem w/being over-dry is that your body can start over producing oil to try to compensate, which can break you out more. Now this doesn't happen to everyone;many have seemed to have success with it,but I would think unless your skin is more on the oily side,it may dry you out too. They claim they've improved the formula so it's not as drying,& they have that green tea moisturizer, but like I said,if it dries you out as bad as it did me,no moisturizer is going to help.
