do xbox live codes expire?
i want to buy a 1 year XBL code when they're on special but i think theyll expire. my xbl doesnt expire until february. if i buy a 1 year and use it right now, will it add another 12 months? or do i have to wait until my XBL expires.

Most Xbox Live cards do not expire, unless they are given out through a giveaway or something like that, and they would have a date of expiration stamped on them. As for adding on the time, yes, adding an Xbox Live Gold card to a current subscription would add onto the total time up to 36 months worth. The only time it doesn't add on is if you are using a trial of some sort, like the 48-hour cards or the free month given to some new accounts made on consoles. It is up to you if you want to buy the card now or wait till later, but I tend to buy a bit ahead of time so I don't have to worry about forgetting and not being able to get one till I run out.
