(it'll be) 0-2 <3x< 8-2 = -2< 3x < 6

now divide everything by 3 (make sure you switch both signs too)

(now it'll be) -2/3 > x > 6/3 = -2/3 > x > 2

your answer is negative two thirds is greater than x which is greater than 2 :]
