Political Asylum Green Card Process?

This week my Chinese girl friend had a court hearing related to a request for political asylum with the goal of obtaining a green card. Today she was told that she needs to be fiingerprinted next week. She was not able to give me any other details, in part because she got sick today..

Does a request for fingerprints suggest an approval? If not, what does it mean?

Thanks

Update:

She had a court hearing this week, and gets fingerprinted next week. On average, how soon should be expected a decision from the court as to whether her request for asylum will be approved or denied?

  • Fingerprints doesn't mean an approval. It is standard procedure to do background check on her. Also, she has to get Asylum status approved first. And living 1 year as Asylum status, she can then apply green card. It is 2 step procedure.

  • It is a requirement but that doesn't mean she is approved. She has to go through the whole process before granted a Green card.

  • no longer likely. in spite of how everlasting place of residing is gained, the resident will might desire to accrue 5 years in everlasting resident status to qualify for naturalization, except he or she is married to a U.S. citizen for a minimum of three years. Then he or she will persist with for citizenship after 3 years of everlasting place of residing (what's observed as the "2-3 hundred and sixty 5 days low fee").

  • no!!

    its standard procedure

wait until the court procedure is over
