Amnesia after a coma: possible to gradually get memories back?
I need to write a short story for English class and wanted to write something about a girl who has amnesia after being hit by a car (isn't that unoriginal?). So here's the question: is it possible to suffer from amnesia after being hit by a car and not remembering anything about your past, but then gradually start to remember past events until, after maybe a few weeks or even months, you get all your memories back? Or does it change you drastically, so you're never the same?

Years ago I was knocked on my head and went unconscious for several hours. I never got even a shred of my memory back for the rest of the day before my concussion, and, of course no memory of the accident or the time when I was out cold. I do, however, remember most of the rest of my life, before the day of the concussion and since I recovered.
I think it is possible to recover because in tv shows it happens all the time
I've heard of memories returning to amnesiacs
