Sounds like you downloaded some program---likely malware---that has partnered up with Ask.com, where you automatically download the Ask.com "toolbar"---which needs removal ASAP.
That's easily done, using the Control Panel---Add/Remove Programs section of Windows; you'll find the Ask.com toolbar.
If you have to delete the program attached to the Ask.com toolbar, might be worth it to do so; malware tends to attract other malware and/or dialer viruses.

First, clear your cache and reboot. If you use Internet explorer: Go to the page you want.
