how to promote a mathematical/calculus discovery?
hi
so just finished my calc 2 college class, but i wanted to ask if i have discovered an integration no step needed to reach an answer, is that something considered great? it has not been known before and I made such discovery while doing my homework about 2 months ago, but finally had time to compile it together and test it out with more things and fixed a rule, and i made a beautiful looking mathematical representation just like in books. if its something worthy and great, is it promotable? like shouldnt it be put in calculus books? if so, how can i do that? who should i present it to to recognize it?
thnx!

Show it to your professor.
Do you really think great mathematicians like Newton and Leibniz and hundreds after them missed something like that?
Your premise is doubtful -- calculus and integration are well-studied, and just about everything that can be done has been done and documented.
