dilemma? community college or uc?
So i've been accepted to uc riverside and uc santa cruz as a freshman for fall 2010. first off which should i go to? i feel ucsc is alot better.. the major i applied with at ucr is pre business and ucsc is undeclared economics. i am not exactly sure what major i want to go into as of now. second, i have heard that it is easier to go to a cc and transferring to a (better) uc like uci or even la but especially these days and for the upcoming years i hear it is getting harder and harder. would it be better to go to ucr or ucsc than a cc? i know going to a cc saves tons of money but the fact that i have to spend 2 yrs of basically high school all over again.. i dont think going to a cc is any good? and it is not a guaranteed transfer if i do go to a cc right??
thank you

Visit UCR and UCSC to see how you feel about the campuses. Maybe you will fall in love with one of them and enroll there.
All UCs (except Berkeley and UCLA) offer Transfer Admission Guarantee to CA community college transfer applicants who meet a set of criteria, so that is something to consider. But keep in mind that community colleges are struggling with reduced budget and increased enrollment, so expect to fight with a lot of students to get into fewer classes.
