yahoo contact sound issue?

Since yesterday I don't see the little tab that pops up or hear the sound when a yahoo contact logs on. Anyone else having that issue and if so what is causing it?

Update:

I did that all that works fine. It only does it when yahoo contacts come on. When hotmail or other contacts come on it makes the sounds and shows the pop up tab.

    Check your settings here

    Messenger > Preference > Alerts and Sounds

    Check the first box

    Highlight the first option

    "A messenger contact goes online"

    check these boxes

    "Showing a message at the bottom ...................."

    "Playing a sound"

    Click Apply & OK
