12 weeks prego and sick as a dog.?
I have had morning sickness, and I know what that is....but I am sick right now...Like violently throwing up all day (definitely not morning sickness!). I got the chills and a headache too. I am not thinking too clearly as my head has been in the toilet at work all day....Tell me something I can do, the only thing I thought of was Gatorade. Thanks...

Sounds like you may have a tummy bug which would explain the cramps in your tummy too - Over here we are not advised to take anything as it's best for the bug to get out of the system asap - but make sure you drink plenty of fluids - little sips & often.
I was sooooo sick during the beginning of this pregnancy. Now i'm 22 weeks and i have no vomiting. It didn't stop until i was 16 or 17 weeks pregnant. If you can drink Gatorade keep drinking it. I couldn't even drink that. No water no crackers nothing. I had to be hospitalized twice for dehydration and i couldn't work it was so bad. Try to suck on ice little bit at a time. Keep drinking the Gatorade if you don't vomit it back up. It will take time but when you hit your second trimester you should start to feel better. For me it was the smells of everything that set it off. Try to stay away from fruity smelling body sprays which may effect your gag reflex, and of course fowl smells like B.O., the way a bathroom smells, and people who wear a lot of Cologne. These things helped me a lot. Good luck i hope you feel better!
Throwing up all day is not good for you or the fetus, it leads to Mal Nitrition for you and baby. Call your doctor they have special medication for Vomiting Expecting mothers. Until you call him, get some Chamomile Tea, it will help keep the Food down. Gatorade is good too, but the tea works alot better.
I would check with my doc if this is very out of the ordinary for you. Also, have you taken your prenatal vitamin today? I found out mine was what was making me throw up severely. It gave me a blinding headache and the nausea was so bad I got cold sweats. I had to force myself to nibble on rits and drink only water for the rest of the day. If that is the cause and you are in good health you may not need prescription prenatals. Hope you feel better.
ingesting once you're a million week and ingesting once you're 12 weeks is a super distinction. At 12 weeks your placenta is shaped and each thing you're taking on your physique gets fed to your infant. i might heavily communicate to a physician approximately that. I dont advise to scare you yet i may well be bothered if i became ingesting that some distance into my being pregnant.
There are these motion sickness wrist bands that also help with morning sickness, they should be available in your local drug store (CVS, Rite Aid, etc.)They have these metal balls that press on a pressure point in your wrist and is supposed to help with nausea. If they don't work call your doctor there are things that they can prescribe to help. Feel Better!!!
drink powerade, not gatorade. one of my bff went to the hospital for this a few weeks ago and she was about 13 weeks preggo. she was severely dehydrated and told her not to drink gatorade, but top drink powerade instead. something about the amount of electrolytes.....she also had to recieve 2 bags of I.V. fluid bc she was so dehydrated. i would go to the dr. or the hospital as soon as they open in the morning.
Drink lots of fluids, stay hydrated. There are medications that your doc can prescribe to help with this. My sister was alternating 2 different kinds to stay functioning and it was safe for the baby. Good luck!
email me, and I will tell you the best thing for morning sickness and intractable nausea during pregnancy.
Also you may have the flue, it has been going around, so you just may wnat to go home sick if you can. If you have the chills, you may have a fever.
