  • preeclampsia is when you have high blood pressure and protein in your urine in mid to late pregnancy. the only cure for preeclampsia is to deliver the baby, but you can get extra rest, take medication to lower blood pressure, and drink an extra glass of water per day to reduce symptoms. usually you get better within the first 6 weeks of delivery, although sometimes the first couple days can be worse. pre ec. can cause bleeding problems, placental abruption, liver rupture, stroke, and death.

Eclampsia follows preeclampsia, a serious complication of pregnancy that includes high blood pressure and excess and rapid weight gain, and causes seizers or convulsions.

  • Pre-eclampsia can kill you yes. What it is is that your blood pressure goes way high and doctors cant keep it under control. This can cause strokes, heart attacks, and yes even death. The only cure for preeclampsia is terminating the pregnancy - doctors will try to keep you pregnant as long as possible for baby to grow more. But many premature babies are born early as a result of this illness in the Mom.

  • It can, if not treated.

It's a syndrome that includes high blood pressure, water retention and protein in the urine. If it progresses far enough it can lead to seizures. Nobody is sure exactly what causes it.

Try googling -- there's lots of info on-line about it.

  • It can if it goes untreated, that's why it is a big deal when a pregnant woman get it. It can also cause alot of damage to the baby if untreated.

  • it can thats why they closely monitor you to make sure they can induce you if needs be
