Do you do Crunches [exercise]?

Did they help flatten ur stomach?

  • I do them each day, and they've certainly helped in gaining stomach muscle (abs.)

    As for 'flattening' the stomach, don't expect any fat that's there to go away. Basically the muscle load increases but is hidden under the fat. To get rid of this you need more cardiac exercises, such as running, swimming etc.

  • I do crunches as part of my workout routine. The intention of crunches is to build stomach muscles evenly instead of just in the upper stomach muscles.

    They can help flatten your stomach; but, there is no such thing as spot reduction. That means that doing crunches will build stomach muscle and burn fat around the entire body (Girls tend to lose fat in their thighs and butt first though while guys will lose it first from their gut.)

    Running or performing another type of cardio (IE swimming, cycling, etc.) would do the same thing as crunches and would provide many other benefits to your general health.

  • crunches do help tone you more than situps supposedly, and yes would in turn flatten your stomach as long as you are eating appropriately
