Backlinks from a PR0 website (SEO)?

Is it useful to get backlinks from a webpage with a Page Rank of 0? I'm doing some link building for my own website and I have been placing useful contextual links on websites with a PR of at least 1. But I was wondering: are links from PR0 sources any good?

  • Yes it can help a little, Google's PR system is on a sort of exponential scale, one pr1 may be worth about 10 pr0s, it suggests a pr6 may be nearly a million time more powerful, link diversity is a factor, so even a little relevant page link helps a bit. You should know how to check for doFollow links which have little rank boost pow, but some are needed to look 'natural'

Raised attention to site quality has some people linking to pages that can be shed in the event of an "unnatural link pattern" warning, be careful what you link to your home page, they can't be removed so easily.

  • Change titles of pix and alt attribute. Put a link below the image, but supply it rel="nofollow" attribute, so your PR juice is not going to go to the owner's website. Which you could make that text anchored with easy word like "source" and make it small. ...A href="url of image" rel="nofollow"...
