How do you sell car parts?
Hey there,
I'm going to be starting a job at a car company very soon and the job that I will be doing is, "Parts Sales"
My question is, how do you sell? How do you make the person want it more? I'm going to be assigned an iPad so I may show people how it is that their car is going to look with new window tints, spoilers, etc.
Any selling tips?

Learn about the products inside out so you can compare them. E.g. there quality, for instance people think if they pay more they will get decent quality out of there purchased product.
Say for example my car's battery has gone and I need a new one. The thing I would like to see is recommendations, e.g. how other customers feel about it, whether it was decent quality for their car, and also if it's worth paying the money.
A lot of people will actually spend a lot of money just to make their car look good. I know a few people that have done it themselves. Remember the higher the price the better quality it will probably be.
Make the customer convinced, I wouldn't like someone who sounded negative about the product explaining it. It's all to do with first impressions, for instance, if I saw something I really wanted I wouldn't mind paying out a lot.
Confidence is key when dealing with customers, and also will be needed all the time.
