Co codamol dosage and side effects?
I've never taken it before as I don't really take paracetamol tablets but I've had a horrible headache for a long time so I took one of the effervescent co codamol to relieve the pain.
Now I just need some advice. On other personal reasons I'd rather not discuss, I am underweight ( 5'4 and as of this morning 6 stone, used to be 5st 6lb five days ago) and I was wondering what the side effects are if I were to take more than one, as two tablets are usually prescribed.
I ask this as the headache is still present and I don't know what will happen if I take another.
Will I cause internal damage?
I'm also on potassium tablets, so will it interact?
Will I become 'loopy' and a bit hyper?

It is be perfectly safe to take two tablets at once as long as you stick to the dosage limits on the box.
The sodium in the effervescent base can cause a slight increase in blood pressure, so people with pre-existing hypertension need to take care with these tablets.
The codeine can cause slight constipation in some people.
You probably shouldn't buy box and box of the tablets, because some people have reported getting addicted to them. One box isn't going to be a problem.
That's the worst that's going to happen to you taking the tablets. However, after taking the tablets for a headache I recommend you lie down in a dark room, put on some relaxing music and chill out for an hour or two. This will give the tablets the best chance of stopping the headache.
depends.. what age, under 16..one every 4 hr, maximum 4 in a day.
adults...2 every 4 hrs, maximum 8 a day, if there the 8/500s
with a poor diet(less protein) you might be at a higher risk of paracetamol poisoning.
but you will be ok to take more as and when needed.
5'4 and 6 stone...........wow, nice.(imo)
