How do I dess going to a fancy restaurant?

My family heard of this place that served really good food, so we are driving down there to go. I know its not a place to wear jeans, but is a casual dress ok? (It is a solid purple with a black band that separates the torso from the rest of the body. The bottom is a floral print) The dress is not tacky looking though. It looks like it would be fine... but I am not sure. I will also be wearing a small black jacket over it. And some flats.
