how to do a windows 8 downgrade?

alright maybe I am the idiot. I don't have a touch screen laptop. The user interface for windows 8 was not/is not designed for mouse control. and I simply want to downgrade to windows 7. easy right? nope. im an idiot from all the geeks for asking such a question. the registry key to alter isn't even available on my regedit. which some sites recommend...windows 7 shells ive downloaded aren't a fix but a bandaid. I DONT LIKE WIN8!!!! I want it gone, and apparently I cant even buy an WIN7 upgrade to use the windows key to downgrade, and was called an idiot for asking that. Guess what Microsoft all you had to add was the same thing you added in the previous control panel...that simple little click that said switch to classic view. I realize the upgraded WIN8 uses less ram, blah blah blah, but it is not designed for a non-touchscreen computer...so please can someone tell me the best way to just downgrade this OS. So I can use my mouse friendly win7 again please. im sick of reading failed attempts. Please can I do this without paying a $100+ to downgrade?

  • The only way to legitimately install Windows 7 is to obtain a licence key for it (the little sticker with the 25 digit alpha-numeric code that is supposed to be attached to the device for it to be valid).

The new interface was touted as one of the main features of Windows 8.

  • Since you don't want to pay get the start8 or classic shell software to remove the confusing and annoying metro UI and have windows 8 look like 7.Now half of your problems are gone
