does acupuncture help pcos?

ive not had a period in 7months and thinking to try acupuncture. has anyone tried this and had good results? thank you

  • Best is metformin which is a first line of med prescribed for PCOS to help manage insulin resistance (a low-carb/glycemic diet or losing weight would also work as well). Try that first.

A recent large, double blind cross over study, compared acupuncture with random needle insertion. Both groups had a dramatic placebo response, but there was no statistically significant difference between them!
