Which GPA do colleges look at?
I will be a senior in high school next year and I'm researching colleges. I'm thinking about applying to 6 UC schools and I'm not sure whether colleges look at just your junior year GPA or your GPA for all of your years, Freshman year I got a 4.0, sophomore year, 4.17, and junior year, the first semester I got a 4.33 and the second semester a 4.5.

UCs only look at your grades obtained during your sophomore and junior years. Of course, you need decent grades in your other two years too, but only the grades earned in the middle two years will be calculated as your UC GPA. You also have to note that not all honors classes in your HS may qualify for the weighted extra point for UC, for details, visit UC doorway and search for the specific course list of your high school.

And only courses in the course list are counted toward your GPA, ie no PE and some other electives.
