Has anyone ever made pot cookies/brownies?
I have a cold but I still want to celebrate 4:20 tomorrow. I'm thinking that maybe ingesting it would be better than smoking it though. Also, for those of you who have baked marijuana cookies or brownies, does it smell up your house like pot when you're doing it, and do you have any good recipes?

It doesn't really smell. But it can...
Norml.org is having a ton of pro marijuana ads 420, on several channels.
Enjoy 420, legalization, here we come!
it does tend to smell strong around your oven area. here's a few tips #1 cover brownies with foil
#2 lower baking temp by 5 or 10 degrees
#3 use any store bought brownie mix. Works great for high altitude use herbal blend in place of extra flour
#4 Use a coffee grinder to break down ingredients to flour-like texture
#5 remember that it will be different and you may want to bake some regular brownies on the side for munchies. This helps avoid a hangover the next day.
#6 Remember too that it takes 30 mins to 1 hour for you to feel the effects
Have fun
ps- if you open the foil when they first come out take the "brownie hit" it is basically vaporized THC and it is great!
First warning: about ONE TEASPOON of finely powdered leaf material is plenty enough for a good high per person per day. Use half this amount if using buds. Tip: this means that ordinary leaf material becomes 50% as effective as top quality buds when used in cooking, so save the good stuff for smoking or vaporising, and use the low-grade material in cooking. Whizzing it in a blender or coffee-grinder is the best way to make 'flour' and get correct measurements.
An ideal first place to start is with Bang Lassie, an easy to make Indian beverage that has excellent blood-cleansing properties and other healthy attributes. In a cup or two of milk, gently warm on low heat while blending in approx. 1 tsp of cinnamon powder, 1 tsp cannabis leaf powder, 1 tsp cardamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, a few whole cloves, a big tablespoon of raw honey or brown sugar, and simmer without boiling for around 30 to 40 minutes. Cool slightly and strain, or add a cup or two of natural yoghurt to drink. Top English doctors who studied self-administered "drug" taking in India in the early 1900s concluded that "No God or man is as good as the religious drinker of Bang."
So yeah, second warning, be careful not to take more than the prescribed dose. You may even want to start off with half the amount and work your way up until you find the most desirable effect. It is possible to OD when eating it, not dangerously of course, as cannabis is a perfectly non-toxic herb, but the effect may be so strong that you will just want to sleep it off or become very lethargic. I have found this entirely pleasurable when waking in the middle of the night one time after consuming way too much 'special' chocolate cake at a party, and felt stoned in every cell of my body. I couldn't move, but felt so good all over I didn't want to move anyway.
Remember too that the effects take longer to kick in, but last for many times longer than smoking. Pot needs heat to activate the THC, which is why smoking works so well, but once heated in a recipe it remains active for many days (or around 8 to 14 hours in the human body).
It can have a particular "green" smell when cooked, usually not strong, and will be disguised in any sweet recipe such as brownies or cookies. Some people will make their own butter to use in cooking by boiling up a large amount of leaf but that gets a little more complicated. The fibre of the leaf is also good for digestion so I recommend just whizzing it up and adding it to the recipe. Factor in approx one teaspoon per piece of brownie or cookie so you'll know just how much you'll get per hit. I saw a recipe for bang lassie on the web recently recommending to use half an ounce for just one person. WOW! No wonder they tell you to be careful in India.
no it doesn't smell up the house, but you'd have to use a quarter bag at least for one package of any kind of Brownie mix......Yummm
i would suggest putting a hole ounce of crappy weed into the mix..there is no need to waste your money on good stuff if your just gonna bake it..at least that how we used to do it
