algebra two words problem help please?

how do i work these 3 word problems out?

4)the sum of kim's age and twice sue's age is 52. if sue's age is subtracted from twice kim's age the result is 29. how old are they?

2) a 2 minute call to boston costs 3.50 and a 6 min call costs 6.50. assuming that the relationship is linear, what will a 10 min call cost?

1) find three consecutuve even integers such that the difference between 3 times the first and third is 32

    sue's age subtracted from twice kim's age is 29 ==> 2k - s = 29

    k + 2s = 52

    4k - 2s = 58 (twice the second equation)

    kim is 22, sue is 15 (because 22 + 2s = 52 ==> s = 15)

    this makes sense-- adding another 4 minutes to the call will add 3.00 again, just like from 2 to 6 minutes went from 3.5 to 6.5

    6n - 6 - 2n - 2 = 32

    4n - 8 = 32

    4n = 40

    n = 10

    2n - 2 = 18

    2n = 20

    2n + 2 = 22

    the three even integers are 18 , 20 , and 22

    3(18) - 22 = 54 - 22 = 32
