How do I quote a book in a speech?
How do I correctly credit it after saying a quote from it?
Say the quote is "He is beyond and greater, transcendent yet imminent..." from page 17 of the book "Islam for Beginniners" by N. I. Matar. I don't know if I need to use all that information but just thought I'd let you know incase I do.
In an essay I would just state the author and then footnote the exact place I got it from, but in a speech I can't really footnote. I do have to hand in a transcript, so would that be enough to put it in there?
Update:I don't want to reword it, I actually want to quote that particular part.

"He is beyond and greater, transcendent yet imminent..." ( Islam for Beginners, and the number as it appears in your bibliography) the whole of the citation should be italicized. this is where I went for that info and it has more info on setting up the bibliography if you need help with that too. http://library.duke.edu/research/citing/within/mla...
