Return hair to natural color?

my natural hair color is maybe a level 6 brown color with some natural blonde streaks in it and a few days ago i dyed my hair to a level 4/3brown and i think it is too dark, is there any way i can remove this hair color and get my old hair color back? i know that redken hair dye was used but i don't know if it was a permanentcolor of semiperm. or if that even matters.

will i just have to get it bleached or can a hairstylist remove the color because it is just color on top of my natural color? please help

by the way this is the first time i have ever added color to my hair, i dont know if that makes a dif. but thought i'd put it in any way :)

heres a color chart so you can see my original color and dyed color

  • Buy a color remover from sallys. It is great that it is only color over natural hair, you should be able to fix this, but do NOT under any circumstances use bleach to fix it. It isn't necessary and will trash your hair. Color remover looks like bleach and pretty much mixes up the same way but will only remove the color on top, not remove all the pigment from your hair. Good luck !

  • Use Color Fix. Products like Color Fix, Color Oops, and Haircolor Remover Kit can be purchased at most drugstores. Color Fix and Color Oops will remove hair dye, restoring hair to its natural color. Haircolor Remover Kit by L'Oreal will strip hair of all dye and prepare it for re-tinting so that you may dye it another shade. Read the packages carefully and choose which is best for you.
