Do contact lenses hurt?

I'm thinking about using full-eyed coloured contact lenses for halloween and only halloween. Do they hurt or take ages to get used to?

I mean none-prescription coloured contact lenses.

    If you've never worn contact lenses they will feel strange. My first week it felt like I had an eyelash in my eye and I would constantly blink. Don't do that. Just use some eye drops to help and try not to blink hard. After a few days, you won't even notice that they are in. Oh, and if you're inexperienced with contact lenses, it may take a long time to get them in.
