Mental asylum documentaries?

I'm looking for documentaries that go into depth about the practices/methods/treatments that mental asylums used to do to "fix" people. I don't mind if it's very visual - if anything, that's better. Also, they need to be available on Netflix, or even YouTube (actual documentaries, not a short clip, however).

I could lie and say it's something for school, but in actual fact, I love dark stuff, and I'm curious about the past of mental asylums and what used to go on in them. It's a pure learning experience.

Thanks for helping c:

  • The classic Frederick Wiseman documentary Titicut Follies (1967) is a must-see

  • examine the e book Mad in united statesa. by Robert Whitaker. There are nevertheless abusive hospitals that persist with the previous variety. State hospitals are many times nevertheless like that. I have been given caught in one for some days in 2005.
