How do i purchase this car?
I live in N.Y. and a guy in Massachusetts has a car for sale that I'd like to buy. He still owes $8,400 on the car so I told him I'd go get a loan. the question being how should I get everything so it's all registered under NYS. My other thing is now the bank wants the title to the car so I can get the loan but the guy said he doesn't have the title because he hasn't paid it off yet. I know in NY you get the title 3 weeks after you purchased the car even having a loan... Is it possible theres a lien on the car? If so how would I go about this?
