Honda CRV 2003 Ac cooling problem?
Honda CRV Air conditioner not cooling well . I took it to the a normal Mechanic and he told me that The tensioner needs to be changed to make proper ac cooling. Ac is cooling ok but not so good.
Is he right? Does the tenisoner inside the Engine has any relation with the ac cooling properly.
Pls help out

if the belt isn't tight enough, it won't let the a/c compressor function right, if you are not hearing any belt noise, i would say that the problem is not the tensioner
the crv has compressor problems. take it to your local honda dealer and have them check it out. most of the time you will need a complette a/c system due to metal in the system from the compressor. the good news is that honda is covering these way past warrenty.
umm no. wait,,, still nope.
you have a leak somewhere, hondas are plagued with hi pressure lines and condenser problems, goto a mechanic have them do a evac, one hour vacuum and recharge to spec, . also tell them you want oil dye , this is a ultraviolet tracer dye that helps tracing of a leak when its slow. tell them at idle your low pressure should be between 38-48 psi and hi 175-225. If your low is < and hi > it has a bad pressure regulator located close to the evaporator. if low > and hi < then its the compressor.
the crv are known for distroying compressors.... take it to a reputable shop or a honda dealership they should be able to help you out
