Algebra problem, confusing problem?

So I have a word problem I need help with.

Pretty much the problem is a dad tells his kid that he will pay him $6.00 per hour if he washes his hands which will be for 6 seconds. So how much does the kid get paid?

How do I come to the conclusion of that problem?

  • Divide $6.00 by 60 to get pay per minute = $0.10 or 10 ¢ then since 6 seconds is 1/10 of a minute, find 1/10 of 10 ¢ which is a penny

  • = 6($6.00/[60{60}])

    = 6($6.00/3,600)

    = 6($1.00/36)

    = $1/36

Answer: $1/36 OR 2 7/9 cents per washing

  • send me a pic of your bare feet and I will give you this answer.
