Laptop problem. plz help ASAP?
My gateway laptop is acting a little weird. It turns on fine and works fine but after using it for about ten minutes the screen blacks out but the laptop stays on. I can't move the cursor and nothing works after screen blacks out. Help please I just bought my laptop recently.

If this laptop has an external monitor port, connect one and see if you can see the desktop. If the external monitor doesnt give you anything, the video card may be in trouble. Video cards are not that hard to replace but I recommend a professional do it. (one wrong wire and the whole thing will screw up).
Sounds like your graphics card could be crashing- perhaps from overheating? If you've got a laptop it's most likely an integrated graphics card (means it's built into the motherboard), so what I'd do is get it looked at to see if your graphics card is messed up. Just my guess though, can't give you great advice unless I could test it myself. Good luck!
