How to tap into my dogs natural abilities?
My dog loves to dig and hunt small animals in my back yard. She gives them the stare down on walks as well. Are there ways I can help stimulate these abilities? I want her to have fun when we play so I want to use the things she loves most like digging! I throw toys for her and stuff but she gets bored pretty quickly.

Put a small toy animal on a short rope at the end of a long stick. Have her chase it as you drag it on the ground in wide circles.
Hide objects around your yard for her to find.
Even bury some lightly in the ground for her to seek out.

You can also do this while out on a walk.
Tie the dog to a post and hide objects in the grass or under bushes.
Then send the dog in to find them.
Train her to trail/locate, GTG, etc.
