I had braces before. The first time you get it, then the nexy 2-3 days your gum is very tender. Try eating soft food. The little bite of chewing a juice box straw itt hurts. After that it doesn't. The rest only if the tighten it it hurts a little

The day they were put on really didn't hurt though, when I went back and had them tightened is when they'd be sore. however, they weren't as painful as I had imagined.

Yes,I have braces. It's been two years... I begged my mom to let me get invisalign... but it was simple,I was getting metal braces. So i just dealt with it. It's not that bad...and it'll make your teeth straight and pretty.
I work for an orthodontist.It is Just a short time of your life to invest for the rest of your life.In the long run you will be so glad you did.All 3 of my kids had them and their smiles are gorgeous.
suck it up! its only going to be 2 years of your life shut up god its not that big of a deal some braces look good with people and in the future you will have beautiful teeth the first week its going to huirt so take advil k and its not that bad i didnt want braces either but i said to myself i should just take advantage of the oppurtunity so yeah i ahve braces right now and they look good on me just be confident

well i have braces;everyone said it was a minor pain.
i wish they would of told the truth

i'm gonna just be flat out honest.
it was MAJOR pain.
not trying to scare you.
advil, tylenol, etc doesn't help at ALL, so don't even bother to buy some. lol.
wear lots of chapstick when you get em on b/c your lips will be very dry.
the process is about 2 hours.
the tightening gives you pain but not as much as when you first get em on.
the time goes by SUPER quickly.
i got mine in feb. and get em off in jan. it went by so quick!
if you think negatively it will go by much slower.
so think positively and how you'll have a perfect smile after the pain it'll go really fast.
