U.S. Navy Ship Compass?
I just purchased a wonderful battleship compass taken from a ship commissioned during WW1 and finally decomissioned during Vietnam. It is from the E.S. Ritchie & Sons Inc. company out of Boston. The number on it is 107374. If you know what ship this came from, please let me know.

try googling battleships decomissioned around the time period of the Vietnam war, if there are many then google the company that made the compass and see if they have a serial number tracking system.
