how do i connect a digital TV tuner to a windows vista computer?
i understand that you have to connect some wires from the digital box to the computer, but i cannot get round to knowing which wires i actually need. (i am a sky digital box user if it is of any help)

might be a bit more expensive but have you considered getting a freeview compatible DVD recorder, or even HDD recorder?
if you use a DVD recorder then 'just' transfer the DVD to the computer.
that would avoid the hassle of trying to connect the wires, adding yet more hardware & software which may banjax the computer. you can site the computer where you want, it doesn't have to be close to the TV, or near an aeriel
alternatively consider getting one of the USB TV decoders, bit it will have an impact on computer performance, and may also impact computer stability
they normally come with usb if so just plug it in a usb slot you will have to connect aerial to the tuner to make it work.
you have no need to or indeed any use for your sky box at all the digital tuner will only pick up signals from a aerial.
dont even try to connect you sky box to the digital tuner you will probably knacker it.
You computer needs the ability to capture video. That comes in the form of an internal card or USB device.

*Then* you need to look at cables. I suspect a SCART to composite (yellow, red & white) would be your easiest option.
