Toyota Dealership job as a porter?
I'm about to start working at a toyota dealership as a porter $11dollars an hour. Is this too low?. I was told I will drive serviced vehicles to the customers ,clean cars, move cars around and swap cars with other dealerships hours away. What else is this job about?. I will be fulltime somedays working in the morning and some in the evening. Is this a fun job?. How can I become succesfull at this job? I'm a hard working person. How can this job help me achieve my dream to become a mechanic? That's basically why I applied here.

No, I don't think $11 is too low. Chances are you might get tipped occasionally from customers. I think it is a decent salary starting out. If you want to be successful at this job then work hard and show up on time. If you want to become a mechanic then you will need some schooling or experience. Schooling would probably be the best way to go. You can learn that at a trade school.
A porter isn't a skilled job, so $11/hr is on the high side. Compare it to working fast food if you want a pay scale to compare. Same skill required. As for becoming a mechanic...it will give you money to pay for school to go to Wyotech or UTI to learn how to be a mechanic. That's it.
