How successful is pyometra surgery?
Overall is it a pretty common and easy surgery? (Easy given the circumstances, I know in no way is surgery easy) My dog is in surgery right now and I'm so scared and worried. Shes pretty young (6) and in overall good health
Anyone have their dog go threw this surgery?

It is common enough but the success often lies in early detection. The infection is the worrisome part.
In terms of risk and complexity it's about the same as a perforated appendix or bowel in a human - the earlier you catch it the better.
