Do/did you attend a dance studio/company?

What classes were there available, and how long did they last?

How were the teachers?

  • I taught Scottish Country Dance for 15 years, in Ottawa, Canada. The classes were 2 1/2 hours long, and were on most nights of the week, being at different levels, beginner to advanced. The teachers varied, but, most were pretty good. The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society administers the tests for teachers, and the standards are pretty high.

  • The classes lasted an hour and they ran separate classes for all grades pre-primary to grade 8 (including intermediate) for ballet. They also do conditioning. As well as this there are tap and modern classes for grades 1-6 as well as intermediate foundation and intermediate.

The teachers were excellent too. I loved it!
