$15,000 down payment good for a $21,000 car?
So I've finally decided on what kind of car I want! (woohoo!) This will be my second car but the first I've purchased myself. The car cost about $21,000 and I planned on saving a little more cash over the summer to make about $15,000 even for the down payment. Is this good enough or should I wait a little longer?
The car I'm getting is the 2013 Nissan Altima and my old car was a 1999 Kia Sephia.

Auto finance is what I do for a living and it's great.
But all major lenders have a minimum amount to finance and the lowest I have seen is $7,500.00.
Good luck.
It merely relies upon, how previous are you? How lengthy have you ever labored on your job?? the position are you procuring your automobile? i'd wager that a smaller personal loan organisation someplace may grant you with a private loan, relying on the age and job undertaking. Being a 1st time customer, it would want to be a notably intense pastime fee. notably with the commercial device how that is. a lot of folk are loosing jobs and are in circumstances to not pay costs. The economic device is undesirable. that is my regardless of the actuality that, if the finance guy at the position the position you're searching on the automobile, is solid at what he does, and each and every of the percentages (job and age) are on your want, then he would have a connection the position he can get it executed.... in case you pay something, lease, telephone, ability, something that includes you interior the mail, on your call, take it with you. Take a pair pay stubs out of your artwork and tell him that you'll convey money.......... probally nevertheless a 35-40 5% possibility you may wish a co-signer because being a 1st time customer, $15,000 remains gonna be a great $three hundred.00+ automobile charge a month.... Are you particular that that is the automobile, you'll have???? verify with your coverage co too. See how a lot your automobile ins will be.... be confident you pays for the automobile...credit is a large element and placing out off, you dont pick it to flow undesirable because it somewhat will impact you in a adverse way......you should pay and pay on time because banks will repo at not something today.......... solid success and go searching and be confident that is definately the automobile you pick and may have adequate money....
That's actually a very good idea. You'll only have to finance $6,000. That should be paid off in a year or 2. Imagine it being 2015 and u own a car from 2013 that is completely paid off. That would be very wise. My cars also all paid off, but it is a 15 year old mercedes with a ton of miles. Don't delay, act today
Hello,
Honestly I think 21k is kind if pricy for a 2013 Altima.I would suggest checking with different dealers and letting them know what quotes you got for the 2013 Altima and see if try can too it. Also another suggestion would be look on craigslist, you can probably find a 2013 Altima for around 15k.
Just my opinion, anyways 15k is a good down payment on 21k. 15 k down payment also puts you in a good position to work down the 21k price or waive some extra fees.
That's a pretty good down. However, it all depends on your personal financial situation.
yes it is
you are a smart buyer
